The Founder

A Moment to Breathe was created by Stacey Cohen-Maitre, Ph.D., a licensed clinical psychologist and parent of four special needs children, one of whom is diagnosed with severe cerebral palsy and cortical visual impairment, and another son with high functioning autism and Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

Leticia Woodard


Leticia is an assistant director at the Los Angeles Dept of Water and Power. She is also a mother of a
child with ADHD.

Rita Eagle


Rita  is a clinical psychologist with  60 years of experience  with children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. She is the parent of a son with developmental disabilities.

Tammy Brandt

Psy.D., LEP

A staff psychologist on the clinical team at Tri-Counties Regional Center. Tammy has 4 “grown boys” of whom her youngest has special needs  They have been her best teacher.
